The Nearby Universe

The Nearby Universe is happy to announce the acceptance of Candace R. Craig’s creative nonfiction piece, “Eerie Lake,” to Great Lakes Review. “Eerie Lake” recounts the true invasion of sea serpents that once decimated most of the fish populations in all the Great Lakes above Niagara Falls, bringing about an aquatic apocalypse. Thanks to the feedback and advice Candace received during two Nearby Universe writers workshops, she was able to create a much better story and hopes her cohorts will take a little credit for this publication.
