Brook Bhagat is proud to share that her poem, “Ghazal on Fire,” was selected as one of five finalists for the 2024 Orison Spiritual Literature Award in Poetry.
“I have never been drawn to poetic forms of any kind,” she said. “They always felt like rules. But ghazals are different—so difficult and strange that they bring the imagination to unexpected places. I’m falling in love with them.”
