Between semesters, Nearby Universe members love to engage in parallel play! Richard, Amber, Madeline, and Brook attended our spring write-in, where they worked on memoirs, poetry, a novel, fiction, and a hazelnut latte, respectively.
The winter write-in is the most delicious Nearby Universe tradition! This year, it was on a sunny Saturday afternoon, attended by Stephanie, Brook, Matthew, and Madeline. Fueled by coffee, music, and conversation, we worked on novels and ghazals until the sun went down.
A write-in, if you haven’t heard of it, is an event where writers get together, talk about their work and ideas for a small amount of time, and write near each other for a large amount of time.
