On Saturday, May 6, Brook Bhagat will be a showcase author signing her book, Only Flying, at another free, library-sponsored event: the 17th annual Mountain of Authors at Library 21C, 1175 Chapel Hills Dr, from 12:00 pm-4:30 pm. Highlights include an author panel featuring Patricia Raybon, Randi Samuelson-Brown, and Marc Cameron. The keynote speaker will be author and journalist Alan Prendergast, author of Gangbuster: One Man’s Battle Against Crime, Corruption, and the Klan. the inspirational biography of Philip Van Cise, a public servant in 1920s Denver who risked his life standing up to the mob and the Klu Klux Klan.
